260324 Able Sea. Ernest Slack Royal Navy 6th (Howe) Btn. Royal Naval Division from:38 King Street, South Kirkby Ernest Slack was born on 21st July 1896, he enlisted on the 29th of May 1915 and was drafted to Howe Battalion M.E.F. Later, he was detached from Howe Battalion to Stavros whilst serving. On 9th of April 1918, he sustained a gunshot wound to his left wrist and was sent to 20th General Hospital in Dannes, Camiers He was demobilised 22nd of January 1919 at North Camp, Ripon.
