John C. Agnew
British Army 79th Brigade Royal Field Artillery

John Agnew was my great uncle. He was born in Paisley in 1889 and emigrated to Winnipeg in Canada.
He had a leg blown off in the war but I do not know where this happened. After the war he returned to Canada and moved with his mother in the 1920's to Vancouver, BC. He died in 1952 in Vancouver.
Additional Information:
Your great uncle was a Fitter in "A" Battery of the 79th Brigade, service number 96698.
The battery was near Ginchy at map reference T.15.b.14.90.
He was listed as a casualty on the night of 8/9 February 1917.
