George Turner was a drummer boy and also a stretcher bearer. He served with the 10th Battalion, Sherwood Foresters in WW1.
He was wounded four times during the war, and each time he returned to the front.
George died 29th of August 1918 and is remembered on the Vis-en-Artois Memorial. The circumstances of his death are unknown. He was reported as killed in action.
