256457 Pte. Noah Neal British Army 2nd Battalion East Yorkshire Regiment from:Rotherham Noah Neal was born in Ickes, Rotherham on 5 December in 1885. He enlisted 15 July 1904 and was discharged wounded on 18th of March 1916. He was wounded in France, he was shot in temple and lost his eye. He was awarded a Silver War Badge (no. 1590). Noah lived in Wickersley, Rotherham for many years with his wife and 6 sons. He and his wife, Lucy, retired to Kent and he died in October 1962 at Patrixbourne, Kent.
