255587 Pte Amos Albert Britnell British Army 2nd Battalion Royal Berkshire Regiment from:Cadmore Common,High Wycombe (d.25th Sept 1915) Amos was born in 1890, the 4th child of the family of 10 belonging to Amos Britnell (sen) and Jane Plested. He was still living at home with his parents and siblings when he joined the Army. He was killed in France and is commemorated at the Ploegsteert Memorial at Hainaut in Belgium. 11,000 servicemen from the UK and South Africa are remembered here as they have no known graves.
