Bert served with the 9th Lancers and was wounded by shrapnel in the knee or spine, in or around the vicinity of Ypres. He had a daughter named Daphne.
As you can see, I don't have much information to work with.
His Granddaughter lives now in the Netherlands and is searching for information about her Grandfather. It seems that after WWI all of the documents where burnt by her Grandmother in the yard due to malcontent about all of the atrocities that happened on the front.
