Tom Shepherd is buried at Dozinghem Military Cemetery, in Belgium.He was the son of Thomas Shepherd and Eliza Alice Spelman Shepherd Robertson. He enlisted in 1914 at South Shields.
He is believed by the family to have died in of poison gas inhalation. His mother Eliza was able to visit his grave at some point before her death, and her trip was paid for by the British Army.
