254658 Sgt. George Dale British Army 2nd Btn. Wiltshire Regiment There are sketchy details of my grandfather George Dale. My father never talked about him. But I have a postcard sent to my grandmother (his wife whom he married in 1904) posted by a friend of my grandmother in Chippenham on 29th June 1913 and stamped received in Gibraltar 3rd of July 1913 addressed to 2nd Wiltshire Regiment, Naval Hospital Road, Gibraltar. By that time he had 3 sons and 1 daughter; my father being the youngest. Apart from that I think he was in the Royal Warwickshire Regiment in Portobello (Catha Brugha) Barracks, Dublin in 1911.
