254129 Pte. Frederick William Cooke British Army 8th Btn. East Kent Regiment (d.18th August 1916) Frederick Cooke was my great great grandfather. His surname was spelt with an e but in the Army he was known as Cook without the e. He was born in 1891. He died on 18th of August 1916 in the Battle of the Somme.
