Pte. Frederick Peacock
British Army 15th Btn. West Yorkshire Regiment
My Grandad Frederick Peacock joined up on the 30th of June 1917, the day after his 18th birthday.
He was injured in Armentieres in 1918. I believe he was taken as a prisoner of war and returned to England via hospital ship and was taken and cared for in January 1919 by St Dunstan's, who supported him and gave him skills to help him live his life to the best he could.
He married in 1937 and he and his wife had two children, a daughter and son.
His wife passed away in 1971. He was then cared for by his children and grandchildren until his death in 1973.
I have tried to find any information regards his time in the army and his life after returned to England.
