Pte. Frank Cecil Hoy
British Army 8th Btn. Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers
from:Chingford, London
(d.15th Sept 1917)
Frank Hoy was my husband's great uncle who enlisted at Warley and died of his wounds on the 15th of September 1917, aged 23.
He is buried in Bucquoy Road Cemetery at Ficheux in France. The date of his death and place of burial indicate that he took part in the 3rd Battle of Ypres sometime after the Battle of Langemarck, but before the success of the Gheluvelt Plateau. More research to be done.
