Pte. Robert Buxton

Robert Buxton was the son of Robert Matley and Jane Buxton and lived at Newthorpe Common, Eastwood Newthorpe in Notts.
He was the brother of my Grandad Walter Buxton.
It is believed that Robert was wounded during the German attack on St Quentin.
He died of wounds, a thigh injury and subsequent pneumonia in Saltau prisoner of war camp. He was buried there before being moved to Hamburg Cemetery.
