2Lt. Neville Charles Sims Meares
British Army 128th Seige Battery Royal Garrison Artillery
My grandfather Neville Meares served as 2nd Lieut on the 128th Siege Battery.
He served for 14 months, finishing 27th Jan 1919. During that time his Sergeant was Louis Ginnett, the reasonably well known artist.
We have a print of a picture of the gun in action drawn by Ginnett.
His commander was Captain Russell E Skinner.
My grandfather survived the war and became a civil engineer.
