247072 Pte. Albert Edward Warman British Army 4th Btn. Royal Fusiliers from:Acton, London (d.16th June 1915) Albert Warman born in Acton in 1891, second son and youngest child of Charles and Florence Warman. The 1911 census shows he was a fish hawker. He served with the 4th Battalion of the Royal Fusiliers (City of London Regiment) service no. G/8853 and was killed in action on the 16 June 1915. He has no known grave and is commemorated on the Menin Gate Memorial, Ypres, Belgium and the War Memorial, St Mary's Church, Acton, London. His older brother Alfred George served with the Princess of Wales (Royal Berkshire Regiment) and was killed in action on 25th September 1915. Tragically his parents lost both sons to the War within 4 months of each other.
