246350 Pte. Hubert Excel Goldsmith British Army 2nd Garrison Btn. Bedfordshire Regiment (d.12th October 1918) Hubert Goldsmith served with the 2nd Garrison Battalion, Bedfordshire Regiment. He died on the 12th of October 1918 and is buried in St. Nicholas churchyard, Gosforth, Northumberland. A pupil of Bedford Modern School 1907-12, he is commemorated on the School War Memorial, which was unveiled in 1923 and in the Roll of Honour, published in The Eagle, December 1923.
