I am researching Traylen, my mother's maiden name. I found Alfred on the absent voters' list for the Clapham division, 1917, from which his military detail derives. He was the younger son of Frank Whitwell Traylen, a Fancy Draper in the King's Road, who lived in Presbury Road, New Malden. No. 57 Balham High Road was a branch of Frank Whitwell Traylen's business. His brother,Norman Algernon Traylen was awarded the Military Cross with the Army Service Corps, during the retreat from the German Operation Michael in 1918.
