237757 Pte, Alfred Bebbington British Army 1/7th Battalion Cheshire Regiment from:Acton, Nantwich, Cheshire Alfred Bebbington served in France with the 1/7th Cheshire Regiment in 1918. He was gassed and returned to England. He was treated at Macclesfield Hospital and later married Ivy who was his nurse. They were happily married until their deaths in the 1970's. He had many stories to tell, one he did mention was that after recovering he was sent to Egypt.
