Sgt. Leonard Gilding

Leonard Gilding was the son of John Henry and Mary Ann Gilding and the brother of Oonah, Gerty, Joseph, Thomas, Alfred, John Henry, Rose Jane and John Henry Gilding. In 1911 they lived at 40 Goodhead Street, meadows Nottingham.
He died of wounds 23rd Aug 1917 at the age of 24 and is buried in Lijssenthoek Military Cemetery in Belgium.
He was a colliery labourer working the coal mines in Nottingham before the war.
