233564 Pte. John Wetherall British Army 2/6th Btn. Manchester Regiment from:Wigan, Lancashire (d.13th April 1917) John Wetherall was my great grandfather who apparently died of shrapnel wounds under medical care, not on the battlefield. This is information that has been passed down to me through my family and is all I know. I have begun to research him and will visit his grave with my family at the Cambrin Military Cemetary this summer on our way to Disneyland Paris. I would like to learn more about him and especially his service, I have come up against a bit of a brick wall and don't know where to go next. If anyone could point me in the right direction, I would be eternally grateful.
