PO/Stoker Frank Levi Fisher
Royal Navy HMS Amphion
from:Plymouth
(d.6th August 1914)
Frank Fisher was born in Box, Wiltshire in 1874. He married in Plymouth in 1899 and had four children that I know of between 1901 and 1913.
He was Leading Stoker on HMS Amphion, and was killed by a mine in the North Sea on that ship which was the first British Naval loss of WWI. He is remembered on the Plymouth Naval Memorial, panel 2. He was my second cousin and although four times removed, he is on my family tree and is remembered.
