Pte. William Kenyon
British Army 2nd Btn. East Lancashire Regiment

William Kenyon, was the son of John and Alice Kenyon, and attended Farnworth Baptist Church. He was a collier at Brackley Pit. He enlisted on the 4th of November 1914 in the Lancashire Fusiliers in Bury. He was at Barrow, then Plymouth then transferred to 2nd East Lancashire Regiment on the 19th of March 1915.
He was killed on the 9th of May 1915 and is remembered on the Ploegsteert Cemetery Memorial within Berks Cemetery Extension.
