222668 Pte. Francis Burt British Army 1st Btn. Worcestershire Regiment from:Bristol Frank Burt was my great grand uncle. He was the son of Joseph and Amelia Burt from Bristol. Frank was captured in 1918 and was a German POW from about July 1918 until the end of the war. He survived the war and moved to Canada where he was a career miner in Tinmmins, Ontario, Canada. He married Violet Slucutt in 1921. He had two sons, Frank Jr. and Raymond. He died in Toronto, Ontario, Canada in 1960.
