Algernon Thynne was the son of Francis John Thynne, of Haynes Park, Beds; husband of Constance Thynne, of Penstowe, Bude, Cornwall. He served in the South African war.
He died on the 6th November 1917, aged 49 and is buried in the Beersheba War Cemetery in Israel.
