Sgt. William Andrew
British Army 2/8th Btn. West Yorkshire Regiment
from:Leeds
My great grandfather, William Andrew served in the First World War. He was wounded on the 27th November 1917, and was conveyed back to England on the Hospital ship SS Grantully Castle. At the time he was wounded, his Battalion, part of the 62nd Division, were involved in the capture of Bourlon Wood
We have a photograph of him with two of his children, and some of him with members of his regiment.
