221095 Pte. Fredrick Ayles British Army 2nd Btn. South Lancashire Regiment (d.13th Nov 1914) Frederick Ayles was my grandad's brother. He was 19 years old when he died. He had been in France 3 weeks when he along with an officer disappeared, his body being found with the officers many years later. He is listed on the Menin Gate as being in the South Lancs Regiment 2nd Btn.
