Samuel Wilson was shot by a sniper and died on the 31st of October 1914. He was aged 28 and had served in the South African Campaign with the Highland Light Infantry. He is remembered on the Ypres (Menin Gate) Memorial
and was the son of Alexander Wilson and the husband of Agnes Berriman Wilson, of 19 Gutries Rd., Irvine, Ayrshire.
