Norman Tate served with the 2nd Battalion, Northumberland Fusiliers during WW1 and was killed in action on the 6th October 1918, aged 21. He is commemorated on the Vis-en-Artois Memorial in France.
He was the son of Robert William and Emma Tate, of 111 Spencer St., Heaton, Newcastle-on-Tyne. He was born 16th Sep 1897 and enlisted in 1915.
