220884 Pte Thomas Rennie British Army 12th Btn Highland Light Infantry from:Lanarkshire (d.19th Aug 1916) At the time of his death, Thomas Rennie was a member of 12th Battalion, Highland Light Infantry, which were part of 15th (Scottish) Division. On that date they were involved in the Battle of Pozieres which was part of the much larger Battle of the Somme. He is remembered on the Thiepval Memorial and his date of death is given as 19th August 1916, although the Register of Soldiers effects records his date of death as 13th August 1916.
