Arthur Twining was born in Paddington, London in 1898. He was the son of Frank and Emily Twining and was one of four brothers (and his father) serving in France. He married in December 1917, went to France in March 1918, and died of wounds on 8th August 1918 in the attack on Mallard Wood.
Arthur Twining was my grandmother's younger brother.
