220428 Pte. Albert Henry Cook British Army 1st Btn. Wiltshire Regiment from:Rhondda (d.16th Sep 1914) Albert Cook was born c 1887 in Stratton near Swindon. He was the husband of Margaret Annie Cook, of Westcott House, Miskin Square, Trealow (Rhondda), Glamorgan and the father of Ivy (1911) and Reggie (1912). In the 1911 census he was newly married and a colliery stoker living at Ruabon House, New Road, Garnant, Carmarthenshire. He attested in Duke of Edinburgh's (Wiltshire Regiment) - 62nd & 99th Foot in 1903 at the age of 17. His final resting place is unknown but he is listed on the Memorial at La Ferte-sous-Jouarre in France.
