220232 Arthur Griffiths British Army Duke of Cambridge Hussars In late July and early August 1914 my father was at Summer Camp with the Duke of Cambridge's Hussars, Middlesex Imperial Yeomanry. He was in effect signed up into the regular army on Day 1. I believe he went to France and Belgium with his horse. He later transferred to the RFC and when he was found to be colour-blind he was then moved to the infantry, the Sherwood Foresters. Is there any record of his early service?
