218135 CSM. James Tait McKinley Harvie MM. Australian Imperial Force 6th Battalion (d.10th Jul 1918) My Grandfather, James Tait McKinley Harvie, migrated to Australia shortly before W.W.I. He was born in Glasgow. I believe he trained with the Queens Own Cameron Highlanders before migrating. He joined the A.I.F. on 20/7/15 in Melbourne and was killed on 10th July 1918 having fought throughout the war. He was posthumously awarded the Military Medal and is buried in the Borre Military Cemetery in Northern France. My grandfather left my father, Thomas and his brother James, both of whom were born in Glasgow, in the care of my grandmother. Are there any records of James Tait McKinley Harvie? If so his family would be most grateful for copies or anything you might be able to provide, particularly any photographs.
