Thomas Edward Smith died aged 32. Born in Jarrow, he was the son of the late William and Ann Smith. Thomas E Smith age 27 is recorded as serving as a Stoker 1st Class (Engineer) on board a ship in Indian waters in the 1911 Census. He is buried in Jarrow Cemetery and is commemorated on the Triptych in St. Paul's Church Jarrow.
