Alexander Scott died aged 39 as Prisoner of War in Germany, born Jarrow 1877, he was the son of Alexander and Mary M. Scott (late Ramshaw nee McLaughlin). Enlisted in Jarrow as a professional soldier before the war. In the 1911 Census, Alexander Scott age 33, is listed as a single Private was serving with the 1st Battalion, Durham Light Infantry.
He is commemorated on the Triptych in St. Paul's Church Jarrow and is buried in Hamburg Cemetery.
