215279 Pte, George Coyle British Army 2nd Btn Yorkshire Regiment from:Jarrow (d.1st Jul 1916) George Coyle died age 21 whilst serving with the Yorkshire Regiment. He was the son of Patrick and Rose Ann Coyle of 176 High Street, Jarrow and husband of Elizabeth Brown (formerly Coyle nee Tokell) of 23 Newstead View Fitzwilliam, Pontefract, York's. On the 1911 census he is listed as; George Coyle age 16 Rivet Heater in Shipyard is with his parents Patrick and Rose Ann Coyle and family at 176 High Street, Jarrow. He was born and in lived Jarrow and enlisted Newcastle George was buried in Vernon Street Cemetery, Carnoy and is remembered in Dantzig Alley British Cemetery. He is commemorated on the Triptych in St. Paul's Church, Jarrow.
