Philip Charles Charlton age 21 General Labourer at Steelworks is recorded as living with his widowed father William Charlton and family at 3 Lord Street, Jarrow on the 1911 census.
Born in Felling, Durham, he lived and enlisted in Jarrow, son of William F. and Sarah A. Charlton. He was the husband of Emily Charlton of 24 Bladen Street Jarrow.
Philip is buried in Faubourg D'Amiens Cemetery. Arras.
He is commemorated on the Triptych in St. Paul's Church Jarrow.
