Thomas O'Brien Private 11061 enlisted at South Shields in the 6th Battalion Yorkshire Regiment.
He died at Gallipoli on the 22nd August 1915 and is remembered on the Palmer Cenotaph, St. Paul's Church and Helles Memorial Panel in Gallipoli, Turkey.
He was born at Harton in 1884 and lived in Jarrow at 15 Milton Street with his wife Anne O'Brien nee Coulson.
The 1911 census shows him living at that address with Anne, daughter Mary (9) and son Thomas (3). He was 28 years old and working as a labourer in the shipyard.
