George Forster served with the 22nd Battalion (Tyneside Scottish) Northumberland Fusiliers. He was aged 23 when he died on 1st July 1916.
Son of Mary Ann Tully (formerly Forster) and late William Ridley Forster, George was born at Tyne Dock, he lived and enlisted Jarrow. On the 1911 census he is recorded as George Forster age 17 Warehouseman for a Ships Chandlers is with his mother and stepfather Robert and Mary Ann Tully at 67 McIntyre Street, Jarrow.
