Charles Matson, Corporal 18/113, served in the 18th Battalion Durham Light Infantry and was killed in action on the 2nd Mar 1917. He is remembered at the Darlington Railway Museum and at Sailley-au-Bois Cemetery
Charles was born on the 10th December 1895 in Aycliffe, son of Thomas and Mary Matson nee Garry.
He served with the 18th (Service) Battalion (1st County) Durham Light Infantry.
