213064 Spr. Allan Wills MM.British Army 19th Divisional Signal Company Royal Engineers from:Nuneaton Allan Wills served with the 19th Division signals. He was wounded twice and twice returned to front line. In the divisions rag time band. Awarded the military medal between 11th and 18th August 1918 in the Kemmel Hill area. He maintained communications on the front line. believed he crawled out and reconnected communication wires. Close friend killed on top of him when diving for cover. He lived a good life afterwards. However nightmares and distinct memories which haunted him for all his life.
