213010 Pte. George Albert Knott British Army 10th Btn. Royal Warwickshire Regiment from:Dudley (d.23rd Mar 1918) I know little about George Knott. He had been married for less than a year when he died. He was my Nan's cousin and aged 21 when he was killed. He has no known grave and is commemorated at the Arras Memorial. My Nan's brother Harry Knott was killed while serving with the 3rd Battalion Worcestershire Regt in April 1915 at Messines and her other brother John Knott served with the York & Lancs in France and was invalided out with pneumonia in 1918. All came from Holly Hall, Dudley, then part of Worcestershire. Quite a sacrifice for one family.
