212956 Sgt. Arthur Whittall British Army 3th Btn. Worcestershire Regiment from:Kidderminster Arthur Wittall is my Grandfather. He lost a leg and a hand in the Battle of Messines, plus 17 other critical injuries. His life was in the balance for several months and he was in hospital for 3 years after the war. He then became a Labour Councillor in his home town of Kidderminster, fighting for ex servicemen, those in the work house and for better housing conditions.
