Bertie Titmas was my Mother's Father born c.1881. He was killed in action in possibly at the Battle of Langemarck, Third battle of Ypres 16-18 August 1917. He has no known grave and is remembered on the Tyne-Cot Memorial
He was born in Stepney, Middlesex and enlisted at Ratcliffe. He was married to Charlotte nee Bonner, and had at least 6 children.
