206158 Pte. John Timlin British Army 2nd Btn Argyll & Sutherland Highlanders from:Thornliebank, Renfrewshire, Scotland (d.28th Aug 1916) John Timlin's death during World War 1 was discovered whilst researching my husband's family tree. He was my husband's great great grandfather's brother's son. His service record shows that he was previously in the 6th Argyll and Sutherland Highlander's Band. He enlisted with the 2nd Battalion of the Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders on 10th September 1914. He left behind a wife and two year old daughter.
