Rfm. George Hatcher
British Army 1st Battalion King's Royal Rifle Corps
from:Eastbourne
(d.10th Mar 1915)
My early record is that my grandfather, George Hatcher was killed at Flanders in 1915. A conflicting record says he died in Eastbourne in 1914.
Does anyone have a record of those who died at Flanders from 1st Bat. KRRC?
Editors Note:
The majority of Commonwealth casualties are recorded by the Commonwealth War Graves Commission
They list a L/Cpl. George Hatcher 1st Btn KRRC as being killed on 10th March 1915 in Southern Flanders. He has no known grave and is remembered on the Le Touret Memorial in the Military Cemetery at the village in Flanders.
