1206629 Pte. John Hamilton "Jock" Macgregor MM British Army 6th Battalion Royal Fusiliers from:London My grandfather John Macgregor joined up in the Rifles and was sent to France in March 1915. He seems to have served throughout the war, and was awarded the Military Medal, recorded in London Gazette August 1917 but I don't know what he did. He survived the war, marrying my grandmother in approx 1920. My mum was born in 1922, and my aunt in 1929. He suffered damage to his feet, and later had his leg amputated. He died in 1941.
