Edgar Gorman was killed in action on the 18th of May 1918, aged 22 and is buried in the Couin New British Cemetery, France.
Son of William and Rosa Jane Gorman, of Rowley House, Burnley and native of Bristol. He worked for Burnley Corporation at Hurstwood reservoir prior to enlisting. He was killed when a shell dropped into his post, killing him and another man and wounding three others.
