Joseph Hateley died of wounds on 20th of May 1915 through loss of blood, his arm having been blown off by a shell, he was aged 33. Buried in Bethune Town Cemetery, France, he was the son of Joseph Henry and Anne Hateley, of Walsall, Staffs. and husband of Gertrude Fallon (formerly Hateley), of 24 Chester St., Liverpool.
Joseph was a caster by trade and formerly employed by Messrs. Mason and Burns, of Pleck Road, Walsall.
