John George Jones was killed in action on the 15th of October 1914, aged 29. Buried in Bethune Town Cemetery in France, he was the husband of H. E. Armstrong (formerly Jones), of 24 Prince St., Haworth Brow, Keighley.
Native of Scarborough, Yorkshire, he had lived in Burnley since the age of six.
