George Talbot served with 3rd Royal Fusiliers. The London Section of the National Roll of the Great War records, He volunteered in November 1914, and during his service in France, which lasted nearly three years, took part in. several engagements, including those of the Somme, Ypres, Bapaume, Cambrai and Arras, and was twice wounded and gassed. After being in hospital iu France, he was invalided to England, and was ultimately discharged as medically unfit for further service in October 1918.
